Alienware announced its new Aurora R16 gaming desktop PC a little earlier this year and it’s already on sale for a really sweet discount headed into Black Friday next week. Normally this configuration of the R16 would be $2,499.99.
The desktop comes straight from Dell and is housing some super powerful components like a GeForce RTX 4080 GPU, an Intel Core i7-13700F CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage via an M.2 NVMe SSD. Dell is currently discounting the PC down to $1,949.99 though so you save a total of $550. Pretty good considering the specs. The R16 also features Alienware’s new more simplistic design language. Which on this desktop translates to matte colors for the case and subtle gamer aesthetics like the RGB light ring around the side, and one small RGB Alienware logo on the front. There’s also some RGB in the rear fan.
For the most part though it’s relatively unassuming. A large tempered glass side panel serves as a window to the inside of the PC, while the rest of the case is basically flat surfaces all around with soft rounded edges. A far cry from Alienware’s gaudy desktops of the past. More or less, Alienware has grown up yet without having let go of too much of its gamer roots. Worth noting as well is that since this comes straight from Dell you can adjust a few of the components. Such as bumping up to an i9 CPU and putting in more RAM or storage if you want it.
